Office Transformation

Yesterday I spent my morning winding my way through this:

Because, like Miss Pink Lou Lou, I was moving!!

Since my boss is leaving and my old office was just an extension of hers, I got a new office (complete with a DOOR so I can pump in my own office!)

Here is my old little space:

And here is my new office:
still working on that naked wall to the right of the window

You see the awesome clipboards up there? Yeah I stole that idea from Pinterest, see the pic below
I decided to jazz mine up with some Lilly P prints :)
Here is a better pic of zee boards *fake french accent*

And you see that presh Lilly magnetic memo board? I found some little silver magnet tins on sale at Walmart to stash little doo-dads in - then covered the little peep holes with pretty scrapbook paper (because I can't leave well enough alone). This was another idea stolen from Pinterest (see pic under my board picture).

Also? I am OBSESSED with my lovely Lilly accessories (both those I made and the ones I purchased from Lifeguard Press).

My next task is to make a prettier clock out of the standard black & white one I have... stay tuned!

Target Tuesday: Just keep swimmin'

Good morning darlings (and dudes if you're of the male persuasion)

I am linking up with Tara at fabulous but evil. for Target Tuesday!

I am leaving for San Antonio, TX on the 10th for the NSPRA conference (which I think will be even more fun than last year's in Charlotte - especially since I was about 10 weeks pregnant then). But, right after the conference I'm joining Josh's entire family at the beach. Therefore, I need swim suits. Enter Target.

glory days?

my "What I'm Playing Thursday" made me a little nostalgic for my high school days.

High school me - about 80 lbs. lighter and 20 times less stressed
The SWE Class of 2005
the class of 2005
there are days where I am glad that high school is over and I no longer have to worry about whether someone likes me or not, or if my outfit is too fashion-forward for my narrow-minded school - but then there are days when I miss being able to see my friends whenever I want because they're in my classes or the hallway, instead of having to plan times for us to convene.

I miss soccer practices where we all laughed harder than we practiced and rides home on the bus from games where we lost terribly but "won in our hearts".
The past & future of SWE Soccer
senior year soccer
I miss yearbook - the fun never stopped (which is prbly why our publication was so pitiful).
Angel Lar & Devil Linds
yes, we drew devil/angel stuff on the white board then stood in front of it.
I miss how easy life was (even though we thought it was SO hard). We didn't have to worry about over-drawing our account because the mortgage needs to be paid but the car needs inspecting too.
in Cozumel, MX - senior year
My first thought when I woke up was "what am I going to wear?" not "crap, I forgot to put the clothes in the dryer before I fell asleep last night".

But at the same time, I am glad that chapter of my life is done. I did stupid things in high school. Those people who say that high school and college are the best days of your life are a little ridiculous (in my opinion) what does it say about you when your life peaks when you're 17-23 years old?

I love my husband, son and my life now. I finally have the relationship with God I should have already had - even though it still needs to grow. I have a job I enjoy (which I would enjoy even more with a raise) and a house I am proud of (even though it needs a good cleaning).

So, what do you miss most about high school and what about HS make you glad it's over?

What I'm Playing Thursday: Kickin' It Old (high)School

I'm linking up with the lovely Sarah at We're Just Like You Only Prettier for "What I'm Playing Thursday"

I've been a little nostalgic lately for the simpler, less worry-free days of high school - I think I really just miss playing soccer, not having to worry about money, being stick thin without trying and having all my friends in one place, getting to see them every day. So I've been jammin' to the songs me & the Back of the Bus Crew used to sing when on the way to and from soccer games that where we had horribly lost totally dominated.

Please don't judge me - some of them are pretty horrible (and a little explicit).

Keg in the Closet - Kenny Chesney

My Girl - The Temptations (we remixed this song to say "My Creech - the name of our soccer coach)

Shake that Monkey - Too Short

and please forgive me for this one.... Colt 45 - Afroman

Don't Take the Girl - Tim McGraw
