have faith.

This post was going to be one about how when I heard about the explosions in Boston I was literally at that exact moment talking to a co-worker about how our local optometrist, Dr. Lankford, was running in the Boston Marathon and how I immediately imagined him in pieces on the ground. But instead, this post is going to be a positive almost happy post about how wonderful people can be during moments of tragedy.

Because despite all the focus on the horrible-ness of yesterday's tragedy, there is still hope.

Look at those runners who kept on running to donate blood to those injured. These people who have just ran SO FAR, kept going to help others, or stopped running and helped those around them at the finish line.

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

Read the reports about how first responders ran right into danger to offer a helping hand and assist in any way possible.

We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28

See that Google, a crazy huge company took the time to set up a FREE Person Finder app to help people locate friends and family members (and yes even their eye doctors, mine is alive and well thank goodness) when they could have made a ton of money off  the tragedy.

And so many more stories out there about heroes that shined bright in the dust of these explosions and attacks on innocent people. So, keep running and keep believing and know that God has a reason, even if we can't see it.

Our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 2 Corinthians 4:17

bleh.

This is where I spent my weekend.

The virus struck my household and put down Sawyer first a little on Friday evening and then A LOT on Saturday afternoon/Sunday morning.

Then me and Josh started very early Sunday morning around 2am.

I made it to work and have quarantined myself in my office, but Josh is still home with hopes to go in this afternoon.

Prayers please as we fight this nastiness.

It's Okay...

I am linking up with Neely @ A Complete Waste of Makeup for "It's Okay Thursday"!

It's okay that I had to re-wash my hair this morning after already showering once this morning because the first time I "washed" my hair with conditioner. #hellogreasyhair

It's okay that my husband and I are obsessed with the show "Vikings" on the History Channel. (just don't tell Josh that I a little in love with the head viking played by Travis Fimmel, yum).

Look at him.

It's okay to take a few minutes to yourself to just ride around with the windows down and the sunroof open blaring rap music... until you pull up next to your grandma's best friend at the stoplight while rapping along to the music.

It's okay to hate going to the gym at lunch because you have to get ready all over again after working out (when you already had to do it once before work), but love it too because it's easier than waking up early in the morning.

It's okay that I have already totally planned and crafted my best friend Hope's baby shower... even though it isn't until June.

Sneak Peak
It's totally okay that I spent over $60 at our local monogramming place this year already, between Sawyer's outfits and several pregnant friends, I just can't help myself.

Thank goodness Friday is just around the corner!
