Kindly climb off your high horse please.

I've got a little bone to pick.

I am a Christian.

But guess what? I am also a sinner. 

And according to Romans 3:23... you are too.

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

and also according to Isaiah 53:6...

Isaiah 53:6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way...

I do not claim to be perfect. I have made mistakes and I still do. But I am blessed that the Lord is forgiving.


So on to my point...

Who are we to judge others? 

Who are you to say "you're not a Christian" because I want to go see Magic Mike? And to judge other people for sinning, when you yourself are a sinner? 

Matthew 7:1-5 says we are not the one designated to judge others.

1“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.  ² For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

³ “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? ⁴ How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? ⁵ You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

 When you are judgmental, high and mighty and whatever other term you'd like to use - you do NOT inspire others to become Christians, you support the theory that Christians are people who point fingers, look down on others and judg-y. 

We are supposed to love everyone. Not just those who are "good" in your eyes.

We are so blessed that we are saved with amazing grace and THAT is the word we should be spreading.

This week I am trying out two hues of blue (ha, try to say that three times fast.. okay not that hard, never mind) with Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in "Blue Me Away" and Revlon Color Stay in "Indigo Night". 

yep, that's ole Boots in the background - sometimes I forget to turn the channel off Nick/Disney Jr. when Sawyer goes to bed then realize an hour later that I am still watching Dora or Jake & the Neverland Pirates

Of course husband said "You do realize you have one nail the wrong color right?" sigh...

storm update and prayer requests

Remember that nasty storm that I talked about on Monday?

Well, not only did it kill my best friend Hope's dog, it also condemned her parents' house. The home she grew up in and where I spent many a night in high school. 

The giant oak tree that fell on the garage/bonus room/kitchen and dining room area rocked the house off its foundation and caused a tremendous amount of damage - here are some pictures of the house after the tree was removed...

that is right beside Hope's bedroom in the bonus room 

as you can see, they were right in the middle of adding a sun room to the back of the house...

Please be in prayer for Hope and her family as they say goodbye to their home.

The aftermath of the storm also claimed a life right behind my parent's house Monday.

My cousin Rebecca's husband owns a landscaping business and had a crew at the country club cleaning up the golf course. Mama got a phone call at work asking permission for the rescue squad to drive through her backyard to get access to the course to pick up one of the crew members, David Bottoms, who had been killed by a fallen tree. Please be praying for his family as well.
