I love Christmas Eve, a lot more than I actually love Christmas day actually... mainly because it's a lot less hectic for us.
We have exactly 5 places to be on Christmas day starting at 7 a.m. and bouncing from Macclesfield to Pinetops to Rocky Mount, back to Macclesfield then to Temperance Hall and finally ending in Snow Hill around 8 p.m.
But I also love Christmas Eve because it seems to be the time when the Christmas spirit is at its highest. People are looking forward to the next day and seeing their families, we attend a candle-light service at Josh's parent's church, we have a big hoop-la party over at his Aunt's house where a great majority of his Grandma's 9 siblings families are also in attendance. It's just a great day.
I hope you all have the absolute merriest Christmas possible and enjoy time you can spend with your friends and family. Eat as much as you want - Christmas calories don't count anyway!
As Burton Hills once said, " “The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree is the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other”
